Thanks for the heads up Dennis. I may actually be able to make that, but I have to see if I can crash at my daughter's in Watertown afterward since I would be coming up from Hartford.
I got my wife listening, and after a while she asks "Have you listened to the lyrics on these songs?!?!?!?" Now she can only listen in small doses or her eyes start to tear up. Lucinda Williams newest album "Blessed" is her best since "World Without Tears" IMHO
The kitchen tape acoustic versions of the tracks (2nd cd of deluxe edition) really brings the power of the lyrics out. |
