Favorite siwash?
I've always used the VMC's and never had a problem but have heard a bunch of guys recently say they've bent them out quite often. Anyone use the Mustad 9510XXXDT's?

Never met a siwash that a 5 pound blue could not bend.....wish I did, love that wide gap hook style........

Mustad durtains are the way to go they last forever in the salt, so much so I have a pair that are in their third riggie and have been in the freezer all winter.

I haven't had any problems with VMCs but I don't use anything smaller than a 6/0. The smaller ones are pretty thin and I could see them bending on a good fish.

the mustads you question are EXPENSIVE lol I saw them other day now all i know is they are a stainless hook thats bout it but pricey for a box of 100

I use VMC's but they do bend.

Mustad Duratin for plugs. I bought 100 6/0 and they last 3x as long as the VMC trebles on the plugs. usual demise for them is a bent tip from hitting a rock, not rust.
Gami SS 8/0 or 9/0 for riggies. might as well be gaffing the fish with those hooks! |

And Mustad tinned Siwash are the only ones I use. I find that the VMCs aren't as strong, and rust way too soon for what they cost. |
