2010-3/17
and now the 12th. in a couple of years they'll start in feb. at this rate.

Peepers rock! tiny little buggers. Had 1 as a pet for a little while. Then released em. And the stripers never left, depending on where you are. Just get out there and catch em.

I love the sound of peepers haven't heard them yet though thinking I got a few more weeks.

Raven 03-13-2011 04:58 AM

the peepers don't start singing til the right conditions occur

UserRemoved 03-13-2011 05:14 AM

No peepers here yet but the skunks are everywhere already! Most of them a little on the "flat" side too :smash::yak5:

Something is very wrong. You got peepers and I still have a foot of snow and 5 foot high piles. My pond has well over a foot of ice. I am in Rhode Island. Are you in Ocala FL??

I dunno, Aquidneck's looking towards spring, there is green in the fields and the work crews have been out in the fields the last few weeks.

got daffodils 4 inches up already but I'm not falling for this false spring talk. Those peepers can go back in the mud real quick.

Gotta love those peepers!!........nice!!...

Peepers inhabit vernal ponds not large bodies of water.
With all the melting and rain runoff, these vernal ponds will be some of the first to thaw. I love the sound of peepers.
I love the smell of the sea air, and the smell of a freshly caught striper!

I hate peepers.
