hey im mike. i started surf casting for striped bass last season and i love. i still have some things to learn like what bait to use in the spring. also where to fish from at smiths point either the jetty or the beach. if anyone has any helpful info i would appreciate the help thanks

hey flyvice what baits do you use during the beginning of the season and do you prefer to fish the jetty or beach? i usually dont go out that far maybe the pomquoge bridge but mostly moriches inlet

Most of my early season is spent fishing north shore spots. I'm plugging and throwing flies at the fish.

i go to smiths point bait shop every sunday or monday morning. they are good people over there. have you been out yet on the south shore yet. i tried to go out on the beach and like always the outer beach was closed!
