Charterboat insurance?

I have allstate(I meant travelers) for my boat insurance. Who do you have and what do you pay?
Any companys that let you pick your days? As in: your a charterboat on the weekends but private other times? Or is it, once your a charterboat, you pay full charterboat insurance for the whole year??

Allstate isn't known for boat coverage.

Talk to someone who handles Travelers.

Talk to your agent, they should be able to get you all the info.

Occasional charter, lots less money.
So sole use is not charter.
So your covered.

I'll dig out the ones I got quotes and used.
Way better prices. I'll PM ya.

I looked into it a long time ago. I had a plan of doing a few harters here and there to help with fuel costs. The insurance ended up being about 3 fold my normal insurance, plus the recommended selling the boat to a LLC to protect home assets. I ended up bailing on the whole plan......

I'm sorry about being a bit off topic, but... Do charter guys run a sole proprietorship? That's a whole lot of personal liability that I can imagine taking on. Especially with all the potential risks that come with having people on your boat.
