Tightened up the joint on this one, weighted like a pencil. It only has one hook, possibly made a mistake there, next time.....

Can't wait for Johnny D to catch big on this one!!!!!:grins:

Johnny D will have to post how it swims, this is one of two experimental jointed squids I was playing with. I painted them with the plugfest plugs (should have Rattle canned them). I think I need to adjust the size. But as we know this is the fun part......

Slipknot - I guess it is a knucklehead....

striperman36 04-11-2011 09:51 PM

You should get some nice longer saddles on a hook for that.

Here's version #1. JD, we will have to compare side-by-side swimability some day!

That's ok. I'll be fishing the Bobtail Popper exclusively this season. It's a brand new plug made by The Aquatic Donkey Plug Company that will be taking the canal and beaches by storm this year. If you think the Sebile was hot last year, wait till you see this! Unfortunately for most people, this plug will be only a dream, as I am one of the very few who will be able to get their hands on them.

ProfessorM 04-12-2011 01:53 PM

good job

SeaMule 04-12-2011 01:57 PM

Aquatic Jackass here...

OD Mike: The squid looks fantastic! I see how you spun off my idea of the jointed pencil...

The bobtail popper will be available to a select few this season. I am still waiting for my shipment of multi-colored pipe cleaners to come in that I plan on using for thru-wiring. The elusive Bobtail can be seen in a 50 lb. Stripers lip at a watering hole near you this season!
