Now, now, let's be fair. It could have been a gun.

And someone could have gotten a GOOD look before causing all this commotion. Did anyone even talk to this guy before calling out the forces?
Just think, competing stores and malls now have a new method of "cornering the market" during tough economic times: send in a 'looks-like-a-gun" decoy to scare the competition into closing for the day!

If anything, it looks like a sword as it is carried in the picture. Unless he was cradling it like a rifle and was pointing it at people, I can't figure how anybody concluded it was a gun :smash:.
