Ct river

Heard at the Harford Club sports shop last week that some one caught a 35# or inch bass(?) in the Hartford area when the water dropped prior to all the rain:confused:
I know there are plenty of schoolies if you work for them, but has anyone heard anything similar or of any action North of Hartford? A little early......

Not heard of anything YET.....Couldnt even find shad!:(

This is what I have heard so far, schoolies at the mouth of the Farmington and Scantic Rivers (Windsor / South Windsor, CT).
Heard rumors about a keepa, but nothing to get too excited about. Look for the dance to start when the river water temp is around 53 degrees.

Jenn, nice meeting you at the CCA Seminar. Good luck on the river this year. Try to hook up with Toby once, he knows the areas up there.

It would not be a surprise if a 35" or 35lb striper were caught in the CT River at this time. There are fish in river all winter, most schoolies but also some large fish. There are herring in the river and when the water warms slightly those fish begin to feed and move around. Reports of fish will be much more common in 10 days.........
