Deluxbury bay

1st fish caught.. most likely a holdover me thinks.

FIRST STRIPER OF THE SEASON!!!

Actually, this time of year is when the schoolies and some of the larger adventurers arrive. With the herring (and shad) showing up, there will ALWAYS be some bigger fish to follow.

I almost ALWAYS get my first stripers in Duxbury.
Sometimes I get my first keeper there too, but most of my first keepers come from the canal.

Remember that shallow bays and estuaries will generat warmer water due to the shallow nature, and that equates into increased feeding activity.

I could care less about whether a fish is a holdover or not, mainly because it takes the same amount of skill to catch either!

The only reason I mentioned holdover is because when there's scouts with sea lice, there's not long for the big boys.

I'm going to get out there next week and give it a shot. Maybe I'll see you on the bridge Tim? Don't hit the guy down below ;-).

Oh, I figured that. I just like catching fish....and I'm in desperate need of wetting a line! :biglaugh:

Actually, I need a few days of fishing to quench this striper thirst!
