So River Report

Hit the So River for a couple hours on Sat. & Sun. on the incoming. Threw storm shads & hogys but didn't even get a bump.

Any one catching in the So River?

It's a little early for that river. Soon though. Keep an eye out for N. River reports or Dux Bay posts. If those areas start heating up then it's a good bet they are in the river.

There are no fish between Cohasset and the Canal it's best to save gas and avoid that area .

I agree. Overrun with seals :grins:

I just a bit "North" of the South River this evening. There were quite a few seals including a dead one up in the Marsh. Got one hit, the fish was small, it turned over and was gone.

There are no waves in that area either so trade it in for a harpoon and go seal hunting! Say you are part Eskimo......

I also found a dead seal last week. Was it a pup?

Yeah, they are apparently giving birth this time of year. The one I found had just been born, but did not make it.

Hah. Here is a pic of the one I came accross. Must have been born within an hour of me getting there.

Yeah, it wasn't pretty. The high water mark is over that rock, so had to be very recent. I actually felt bad for the little thing.

bucko 05-04-2011 02:22 PM

The dead seal I saw was definitely not a pup.
