squirrels in my garage

got a bunch of juvi grays all over my garage, they were getting in through my dryer duct.

Tried to get rid of them myself, need to call in the pros. Anyone have any reccomendations? I left a message with "the bat guys" who service my area - Mansfield, MA

Give each of your kids a bb gun and offer a prize to whoever brings you the most dead squirrels.

Bag'em and see if they can swim? Before the kids make them pets!

Trap them and "wash" them. I am getting ready to do the same thing with both squirrels and chipmunks. Waiting for the right time when wifey is not around.

they are kinda herring colored - liveline them.

FishermanTim 05-23-2011 02:36 PM

They use lures over in Mongolia to catch their species of salmon.
The fish can get up to 4 feet in length and have been known to eat birds and rodents that are in the water. I saw a fly that a local had tied that looked like a dead squirrel. Actually it was made from a dead squirrel.

Now there might be a market for them?

Swimmer 05-23-2011 04:26 PM

Wife wont let me shoot them anymore, too much bloodsport she says, LOL, trap them now, and removed them about five miles away. Peanut butter with bird seed mixed in. Keep them in the haveaheart until you get to thier new home.

I know, I really considered getting an air rifle and be done with them but everytime I do a project myself it always goes wrong. I already blocked their entrance (via my dryer duct) and they chewed a new hole through my side door molding. These things are evil.

PRBuzz 05-24-2011 09:18 AM

Feed them some rat food laced with warfarin....

Raven 05-24-2011 09:35 AM

can ya buy BB gun rifles at bass pro?

Yes, but in MA you probably need licenses up the wazzoooo same if you were buying an Uzi?

2na 05-24-2011 10:44 AM

Once they've decided somewhere is home there is only one way to stop them. They'll keep coming back.

I bought an air rifle a few years ago without an FID in MA. Just call them to make sure that hasn't changed.

toaster816 05-24-2011 11:49 AM

A rifle that shoots bb's or pellets never needed an F.I.D. card, but you did need the F.I.D. to buy the BB's or pellets, go figure.

I agree. Peanut butrter with bird seed mixed in. Large rat trap gets them good. Even the little red ones.

Raven 06-26-2011 09:08 AM

replace your shocks

to save a squirrel doh :wall:

If you don't want to kill them I'd just get a trap and you'll get them all pretty fast...probably a lot cheaper than hiring someone. Only thing different is they'll set out more traps at once.

Large $3.00 rat trap smeared in Peanut Butter. Worked real good in my barn.

Nothing is cheaper than a 1cent piece of lead through their head.

ruhroh 06-26-2011 05:07 PM

I just bought a pellet gun at BPS yesterday in Foxboro for this very reason. I wasn't asked for any i.d. for the gun or ammo. On a side note, do not EVER try to go to BPS when Taylor Swift is in town.

Put them in a squirrel sized "shark cage/diving bell" and let them do little underwater exploration:devil2:
