Plug Storage Crate Tutorial
Ron from Lordship Lures recently posted this excellent tutorial on how to convert a file crate from Staples into a very clever plug storage system
A great rainy day or evening project to organize your growing plug collection.... This is on my list to build in the next few months... YouTube - ‪Building a plug storage bin‬‏ |

your idea of saying "half the fun of a canal bike is building your own rig" came into play .....when i read this post because i thought it was gonna be a tutorial on converting say a milk crate to a mobile storage for plugs like "MEGA Tube Cube" - :grins: i'll check it out anyway tho. now i have to build it.

bump... great way to have 60 plus plugs in your vehicle and have it wash friendly...
|
60 plugs? GEE i have to start turning now
or become a major PLUG ho, something i've avoided because it's a walk on wild side, dark and forebodding where you become addicted like gollum ......oh my precious....... LOL |
If you can organize your plugs you have WAAAAAAAYYYYYY too few. :)

sometimes I think it is quicker to build the one I want than it is to FIND the one I want... |
I had a major break thru 2 weeks ago... my wife allowed me to hang about 100 plugs in the basement rec room corner... I have them kinda organized by type and then I have my garage area and my plug back area.
She doe not "get" the whole plug thing... I figured the crate storage would be great for the car and bringing more plugs that fit in my plug bag.... would be perfect for bringing to Block or Cutty or any multiday fishing expedition... |

~ different forms of insanity been thinkin over the years of remote building just for kicks.........:jump1:to see if i could,... i'll convert a tredle sewing machine for power (got one) to the mini lathe (no gots yet) JUST THE BIG DELTA THEN use natural oils for sealing like.... crayfish oil heh heh NEVER be plugless |

I have a box like that that holds about 60 plugs. When plug hos see that you have "too many plugs" they feel free to empty a few tubes, so as to make room for you to acquire more.
Problem is, they can tell which ones you wanted to fish tonight, and those are the ones they grab first.:wall: |
Just awesome!!!!
I have used milk crates with cut down fluorescent light protectors before, but they were too narrow and too flimsy for cod jigs and diamond jigs. This would be just the ticket. The trays on top would be great for all sorts of rubber etc for the jigs and teaser hooks as well. Well done video. - ATG |
Way better than my current system of hanging things all over, and using plano boxes which dont rinse well. I have a few ideas on how to customize as well. coming soon to a canal cruiser near you.
