Flounder

got out for some flounder today with my father in law. managed to pick up a couple. nothing big though. drifted in and out of the fleet watching pretty much everyone having the same luck. is it worth setting the hook and chumming or does that just help catch junk fish(skate, sea robins, etc...)

i just drifted the other day - got a couple of dozen keepers in a few hours - nothing big either. what part of the tide did you fish?

I managed a few dozen today with some crap worms and being on the wrong side of the tide..
Did better drifting and no skate.
Wind kicked up more so I had to set the hook.
Put down some chum went to about a 1-1 ratio of skate to flounder.

fished the outgoing. the few we kept were 14" or so. enough to make a dinner but not a feast.

Out yesterday, one fish drifting. Anchored up, dropped chum, both of limited out with some big fish in two hours.

Chum them up and use fresh worms.
