Been a pretty productive weekend, the weather has been sketchy here in WI so I was able to get some baits prepped between rainstorms
Tried a few new patterns and color combos, pretty happy with the results.
They need another clear coat and hardware and they'll be ready for Slaying. Most are built for friends

Nice looking MS. I have done some "jittterbugs" last year. They all went quick. All black. It took me awhile to establish the side to side wobble with a slow retreive. The face angle was the key. What angle did you use? Mine was 38 degrees.

I'll have to go back and check, I copied the angle of an old aborgastt bass/pike jitterbug.
I tested these when they were just primed, and the move a lot of water and can be moved fast...lots of noise:uhuh:

I use mostly cedar, but I have been experimenting with poplar for surfsters...and i like it a lot. With over sized Musky hooks and the stainless hardware and a larger surfster lip, I can get some really cool subsurface action that I hope the Muskies will love :)

Nice looking stuff as usual man.

I use to love throwing jitterbugs to largemouths but never seemed produce for me, but the action and churgling noise and trail of bubbles always intrigued me.

I picked up a GIANT surfster from ebay a while back made by some "big time" muskie guy, thing is insane, has a foil finish, glass eyes, and some other crazy details and about a 1/2" of epoxy on it, ill post some pics once I get my desk top back, stupid virus.

On some of my sufsters ive used a pikie 3 lip and small chin weight, with that combo i can get them down about 8 feet and fast.

Think that body style is very versatile and has a lot of options.

Need to build some ccbc 7400 clones once I get going again. :love:
