My friends wonder why I carry when I'm fishing the back river in Weymouth late night. Sadly this is becoming more and more a common story around here.

I've had some decent nights at Boston beaches, but I've taken to traveling out of town for late night fishing excursions due to all the bs that goes on around here.

Yeah, it can get to be real sketchy around Q-town. When I used to fish the Back River in weymouth/ Hingham, especially upstream from 3A I used to walk along with gun in one hand and rod in the other. Kreepy.
Fortunately never had any problems.

The first real hot day in the city always brings out the craziness. I used to live in Mission Hill and that first night when everyone was loaded and high, gun shots and police sirens was all you heard all night.

That's nutty though, kids organizing gang fights on facebook...

My boat slip is next to the Quincy CVS;seen a few strange characters there. Called the cops on a nude stroller one AM! Once the warm weather hits, behind the CVS is where some homeless sleep. Don't know how they survive the mosquitoes!

I never know whether I'm going to use the .38 for the people or the coyotes.

Wow! Now we need a water proof 9mil to go with our water proof reels?

I think a gun would get you into more trouble.
