Is there an airshow in the near future around here that would explain whatever fighter jets are currently burning around the general area??:confused:

RIANG isn't until end of june but it is not unusual for fighters to be off WPT / CAPE / and especially the Vineyard as they train out that way.

When was it? Was it incredibly loud?

real close and low. couldn't see because of the fog, lasted for 3 or 4 minutes. sounded like doing some hard ass turning.

the navy team was grounded 2 wks ago as their leader resigned after taking the Blue Angels within 100 feet of the ground during a show... they have a rule not to get within 300 ft of the ground when flying in formation.. A new leader has been installed and they just resumed training again... the Annapolis graduation did not have the blue angels fly by as a result of this issue...

That's what it sounded like to me, to.... and maybe some long climbs... just sounded like rockets going up up up.... then no noise... then SCREAMING back... damn fog...

I heard a few go over work today as I am right in line of Otis runway. I used to hear them every nite back a few years but since they moved out it is quiet. I miss them.

Two F15's Sat in NW RI

Heard on Cape radio station that they were doing "training" on the first of June. It was going to be around P-town and the islands. Saw them go down the canal right after the storm. Could have something to do with it. They said it was some sort of "Scramble" exercise.

probably our 104th from Barnes. they were doing some exercises this past week.
