These hooks for flies/teasers?
Gamakatsu SC17 Tarpon Hooks - 2/0
I was looking at these hooks as they are close to a hook that i was using on some flies i bought off of ebay. They are similar to hooks used for drop shotting/whacky rigging senkos for freshwater. Any input on these hooks or suggestions on another short shank/wide gap saltwater worthy hook for teasers/flies? |
GO FOR IT $4.87 EACH great for TARPON. no use on stripers, have caught 40"+ stripers on flys an NEVER had any problem w/BENT HOOKS eagle claw :uhuh: on shore -in boats. still no problems. go with what you like---> the fish dont care what you use:rotf2:
GOOD LUCK GOOD FISHIN:gh: |
Go with the SC 15s that's on the same page. Search Yahoo for Gamakatsu SC 15 100 count to find a couple of places that sell them in boxes of 100 for about $40.

Rob,
Try these Mustad CS68S: Cs68s I've been using them for two years on Redgill teasers. Stong hook, stainless, haven't had one fail yet. DZ |
Thanks Dennis,
That should fit the bill nicely. And not too expensive. Ive had a few other mustads bent out on red gills over the years. The standard recommended model used for red gills. These look great. Thanks for the recommendations. |
