mooncusser 04-28-2003 01:15 PM

Any pictures of fish caught with these lures, or board members' experiences fishing them?

UserRemoved1 04-28-2003 06:05 PM

Pictures? nope, maybe because I didn't start selling my plugs until October of last year. Last year I lost my boat so I ended up wade fishing all fall, and started messing around with home-made lures since I always been a woodworker. I caught many fish last year on these plugs...but I ain't figured out how to keep my digital camera from getting wrecked when it falls in the water while trying to hold a fish and a rod at the same time by myself.

I started this out buying bodies from a online retailer and finishing them, and graduated to making my own blanks due to costs, but ALL these designs are tried and true if that's what you're asking.

And I think you will agree if you look at these close-up that I build these plugs with the highest standard possible.

So you want pics? Wait a few weeks i'll give you pics...now I got me barge back and I CAN take pics :D

These plugs ROCK!

As a certified novice with a spin rod, I will guarntee your success!;)

Scott, I will be ordering a few of those pink babies for when the stripers start crashing the oil soaked squid! Too bad that barge didn't spill olive oil!

Hey Salty,
Can I pay by money order? I just need a mailing address. I would rather not use a credit card if possible.

Hey guys, I fish Salty plugs and I can tell ya , you WILL NOT be disappointed with anything you get from him. He's doing his best to put out a quality plug at a very reasonible price. So,if your thinking about trying his stuff I say give it a try and i'm sure you'll become a regular customer. And if you got a special color scheme, just give him an e-mail and he'll make it come true. Not bad, for a boat guy!;) johnny "the Ratt Boy"

HighTide 07-16-2003 01:43 PM

Hey Salty,
Just got my plugs yesterday. Nice work! I'll try em this weekend.

Oh, and thanks for getting them out so quick, I know you've been quite busy these past few days;)

UserRemoved1 07-16-2003 08:41 PM

Thanks HT, sorry it took me a few extra days to shoot them out to you....yep been REALLY busy :)

I have a new finish that will start appearing soon also that is so hard and yet flexible that it's just about bluefish resistant!

maddog2020 08-10-2003 10:44 PM

I picked up a couple of your black & purple blem needles from the MA Bass show and I couldn't find any problems with them. They were much nicer than most of the Gibbs plugs I've picked up recently.

Is this special still good? I try to order and see what happens. ;)

UserRemoved1 08-12-2003 06:01 PM

Glad you liked them!

Yep the sb.com special is still ok. I think I saw you put an order in also, been wokring out of state for last 4 days and just got back.
