 I use umbrella rigs 90% of the time with great sucsess, however, 90% of the fish are schoolies, 10 % are above 38". Can anyone give me a tip on increasing the keepers and decreasing the schoolies in my catch.

Clamdigger is right on  throw away the beach umbrella:smash:

Live mackerel or pogies. live EEls trolled slow down deep. And if you can't get live bait go to chunk herring. And if all that don't work you go to the orginal Santini worm.:laughs:

if you are from down the cape first use a 3 way swivel with a sinker and scup an excellent combo:) :D

:) Home Port of the Perfect Storm:cool:

D: - all of the above, worked deep... Umbrella rig is a great schoolie lure ... You can also jig or swim big wood deep on wire...
