Just lost my pup
 

Planned on breeding her. Just went into heat last night! Gate left open this am. Nuts. What a cool dog she was.

That sucks.

A tough time
 

It hurts real bad ...i know
especially when they go suddenly like that...
So sorry......... that happened Rick

although i agree with VB entirely
because to fill the void just created
there's only that way....of doing it

but... better make some changes first so
you don't have to repeat this experience.

Our dog sticks to me like glue
because i insist on it... having
had this happen to us once b4

Im so sorry.. Heartbreaking

Strange series of events. My seven year old son was helping me wash a cooler yesterday in the driveway. He did a great job, always eager to help. He the went to the backyard to shut off the water. He is usually very careful about shutting the gate but apparently forgot this time(he has no idea and never will as to how she got out) and in a rush I didn't check. She usually slept in a crate but I let her sleep upstairs with us the past few nights because it was cooler. I woke up last night at 1am and she was sleeping, spread eagle on her back, next to me. I noticed that she was in heat, cleaned her up a bit, and made a point to tell my son and roommate to be sure she doesn't get out front as she might want to roam. If any one thing was different, she would be out back catching a frisbee right now. :wall:

i remember the eel bucket pic.... :-) and she was so great with Anthony....
this is terrible....

Anthony and I buried her in the backyard. Very emotional for me, he held it together pretty well.

I just looked down, as I am typing this, to see where she was:confused:

It is like loosing a member of your family. In fact, it is loosing a member of your family. I cried everytime it has happened to me. My heartfelt sypathies.
