Unemployed/unemployable

Doesn't anyone have a job??? There must have been
half this website on the canal this morning. They all arrived
at the fishing pier in a bike caravan with empty saddle bags.
One excapee from a decent wage claimed his catch had
already been put in his car cooler. I mean there was lots
of mackeral with a few splashes here and there but nothing
caught. Nice tide tomorrow so i guess those wealthy
enough will spend dawn chasing ghosts again. Or am I
all wrong??

tysdad115 08-01-2011 10:26 AM

So there is fish there? i'll be down in the morning before work.

JohnnySaxatilis 08-01-2011 10:34 AM

I thought that comment was skeptical too:rotf2:

and I'm a student.... with 2 jobs, #^&#^&#^&#^& :grins: just kidding i got blanked and watched per usual as jay hauled in 3 shorts. I casted 5 feet over breaking fish with a mac pencil probly 2 or 3 times perfectly..... not even a chase

WESTPORTMAFIA 08-01-2011 11:01 AM

Hey it's jay here. I was only there because I'm a mortgage broker. Lol. Did u get ur breakfast?

Isn't complaining about the canal being busy kind of like complaining about lines at the MALL? i mean seriously?

I guess that's why I frequent neither... Plus I'm 2+ hours from the canal

You've already lost a boga and a plastic lipper down there? You're a disaster.

I thought this post would be about Johns lack of saleable job skills, in a very self-effacing manner..:rotf2:

Rockport24 08-01-2011 01:31 PM

It is definately not for the "politically correct" down there. But the fish were concentrated in a small area, we had a line up of habitual offenders real tight with each other and not one single crossed line or attitude. More laughs than fish but sometimes thats what it's about.

Jackbass 08-01-2011 02:53 PM

Sounds like a good time. I was 90 miles away getting skunked before work today. Not even a blue. I am beginning to think I might have to book a trip on the balloon knot to get any action.

You definitely needed thick skin to be there that day. Lmao.

It's amazing how smoothly it can go with tons of people fishing close or how wrong it can go with one inconsiderate person

As suspected, of those who answered this thread
only Paul, Tagger, Jay and Tysdad indicated they
had jobs. And the subject of the thread was not
my saleable job skills :yak5:cause I am retired and collecting
SS. Which brings me to the real subject: you un-
employed has better get a job or who is going to pay
for my SS check, which pays me waste time on the canal
when there are no fish. You think I am kidding. You ain't
seen busting balls yet. I speak the truff and always
have. PS. My thanks to the aforementioned people.

I am honored to support you sir. I can only hope there's something left (both in SS and fish) in 30 years when I can retire and become a burden to the working stiffs. :uhuh:
