Location of 81lb bass.

So if you one of you guys caught the fish at your favorite big fish spot, how far off would you report the location that you caught it?

eskimo 08-07-2011 09:12 AM

I would say right where I caught it knowing no one would believe me

Slipknot 08-07-2011 09:13 AM

I would say it was caught in the Atlantic ocean

bassballer 08-07-2011 09:39 AM

I would say the canal

I'd say Rhody. That's where all the fish are anyways.

I lie even when I don't catch anything. Like, "I got skunked on Brenton Reef yesterday":rotf2:

Finaddict 08-07-2011 10:24 AM

That guy is going to have to get body guards to keep people away from him ...

iamskippy 08-07-2011 10:30 AM

i would say Dave Market and then post a pick of it on sale.

Mike J. 08-07-2011 10:36 AM

I would be honest and tell everything! 99% of the readers would not believe it anyway:biglaugh:

stripermaineiac 08-07-2011 10:39 AM

Find them yourself... you'll feel a greater sense of accomplishment.

basswipe 08-07-2011 10:51 AM

I know the exact location......the Atlantic Ocean!:rotf2:

bloocrab 08-07-2011 10:58 AM

Seeing as how we could all use some exercise...:D

The furthest perch at Napatree point....:musc:.....using whole pogies, tight to the bottom, so make sure you bring enough bait & weight...

ivanputski 08-07-2011 11:23 AM

"What did you catch it on?"

" A Hook"

Mike P 08-07-2011 12:05 PM

I would be submitting it for WR approval, so I'd play it straight as to the location. The crowds would eventually go away, and in the meantime, I'd fish somewhere else.

As far as what I caught it on, though.......I'd go with the companies with the deepest pockets. :D

How tight do you need to narrow it down for IGFA :hee: ?

Too many people know what I use and how for me to BS my way for sponsorship.

PaulS 08-07-2011 12:22 PM

Even if there was a video of me catching the fish, no one would believe it.

Don't know, but it's the one time in my life when I wouldn't screw around.

And in any event---like others have said---there have been plenty of times in the past when I was honest and no one believed me anyway. :rotf2:

robc22 08-07-2011 12:51 PM

If it was a world record I would be honest about where I caught said fish..........

Adam_777 08-07-2011 01:55 PM

I'd say either the canal or CT.RI is small enough.

MAKAI 08-07-2011 04:29 PM

I don't recall at this time. . . .

If it's a world record you HAVE to be 100 percent honest, they will and have subjected people to a polygraph, lists it in the first paragraph of the wr application.

You have to submit the line, leader, rig if it was bait, plug or lure, etc.

So you can say whatever you want but they verify it all.

Rod and reel also get inspected if there's any question.

I'd say RHM's rock :rotf2:

JohnR 08-08-2011 06:58 AM

I's be 100% honest but I would ask them - for sake of security - to limit the location to a wide area, say off Jamestown, not Hull cove.

BluesHarp 08-08-2011 08:06 AM

Sacramento river CA.

teezer 08-08-2011 08:20 AM

All of us lie.......

ecduzitgood 08-08-2011 09:58 AM

I would be very vague. If I caught it 40 yards east of pole 40 Capeside I would tell them east of the bridge, Capeside. They would have to figure out the rest. The closer I am to them the closer they would get, a select few would get the pole number and even less would know the actual rock I was on.
