ProfessorM 08-13-2011 07:31 PM

Joe is plain and simply the best in his area. No one works harder and has better consistent results as he does and a nicer guy you will not meet.:want:

Joe is such a joy to talk plug building with!

Hope to see him at PF again this winter.

johnny ducketts 08-15-2011 08:56 AM

and he makes a sweet yellow darter, so sweet infact if you lose it, it comes back to the boat exactly 2 tides later,... true story!

JFigliuolo 08-15-2011 10:17 AM

There's a good number of good fisherman out there. Like Paul said, Joe is above all a good guy and a pleasure to be around. I can't say the same for a number of other highliners out there... I'm glad he's having a good season.

Congrats Joe!

Daves a good guy, we had lots of laughs.. we always do... to answer and earlier question by Raven... slow grind on low numbers... most of these fish are large and very well fed ( puking sand eels and herring), there are not alot of them... each fish( 7 total that night) represent about30 - 50 casts... convincing them that a hunk of wood or plastic is worthy of gluttony is pretty much a fools errand.. big live eels ( 18"+) are the ticket if you want to trigger the greed...it's just the way it is.

Stripersurg 08-16-2011 08:26 PM

Joe, any idea how long the largest fish was?.....just curious.
