What the hell was that!!
 

I was South of BI fishing and I saw a school of baitfish leap out of the water and fly along for about 6 -10 feet as a school. They were being chased by Blues. A guy on the boat thought they were sardines. Any ideas? they looked to be about 8 inches long.

those were flying fish.

Flying fish. I saw them out there last weekend

sometimes they land right in the cocpit. It is amazing how far some of them can "fly"
I had a couple tiny ones mounted.

Ive been hit in the face a couple times by them.

Not in the face, but I have been on the receiving end on deck at night... Takes a moment to realize what has just happened. Amazingly designed.
