calstar700H Lighting wrap

Wanted to do something new and easy. I added a silver streak of threads on all guides but the top 2 for a little more action. Silver streaks taper as guides size drops. Coral reel seat and matching gimbal from ebay. shrink tube over eva. aluminum winding check
My brother also wrapped a 700h but in green metallic and silver streaks came out even better. Imo,, turned out this wrap has a nice offshore look. Wicked easy.

The free flow butt wrap looks great, the thread colors go very nice. How was the reel seat ? did that take some practice?
Very Nice job!

Very maverick. I love it. Gives me something different to do for my next build.

I took a file to the inside of the reel seat and scuffed the blank with heavy grit sand paper before epoxy. Use fiberglass drywall tape to build up the void...easy beans. The blank will break before the reel seat lets go. No practice necessary..if you've never done rod you can make ur's look even better.

Reel seat is not my style. I do like the guide wraps.
