My experience has been fish are feeding before and after the front but not on it.

This was about an hour ago on the Vineyard, and there are two guys standing there to give the size of the waves some scale. ;)

Surf sure picked up quick north of boston. Managed one nice fish and a few smaller. Call it quits a little before midnight.
