I haven't tried one yet, but I am a huge fan of Daiwa reels. I have never had one fail me yet, so I would love to try one out. For the $$$ it seems comprable to Fin Nor's Offshore series.

I have one and like it very much. I let Timmah borrow it when his nautil was OOC and he caught a few very respectable fish with it. He even took it swimming once or thrice.. :smash::fury::wall: :buds: :alright:

Diawa Reels

I'm a fan of Diawa as well. I don't think you can go wrong with any one of them.

I have been casting w/ a BG 30 and have to say its not bad at all.

50lb PP comes off the spool pretty nicely.

We blow out the gears on the Saltist reels often. Might pick up one of these and try it.
