I like it....right up my alley...folkbluesaltcountryrock....:grins:
yeah you would definitely like them brotha. And they play a lot around the Providence area so we could always go check them out...
Where do they play? Interesting genre and I'm curious what type of clubs they get booked in. No offense to them but the kids today don't listen to this.

Bart I might go see them @ the Royale (remember it's the place I pointed out to you across from the Wang) 11/18/11 |

They remind me a lot of Uncle Tupelo (Jeff Tweedy's band pre-Wilco)

I should listen to them some more then. Jeez, I'm in my own little world here. I'm glad they are making a name.

here is Uncle Tupelo....the band that started what is called alt-country in the early nineties

Matt, let me know if you want to go to that show. I'll pay for the tickets if my knee is OK...
Where is the show? I gave them a good listen to last night. I really like their style. They fall into an interesting genre but I still stick to my original statement that kids (20 somethings) don't listen to this. Guys like us that can appreciate muscianship will love them but we live in a techno world. These guys are throwbacks and I love it! So when and where is the show? A few guys in my band like them too and we'd love a road trip.
11/18 we're not gigging so maybe it can happen.
I'm 28, but I can appreciate talent. Have to admit, I also like techno(trance), but I like bands that play rock over dark trance beats, like the Disco Biscuits(they call it trance-fusion). I might go to the Providence show on the 13th if anyone is interested. The Met is a great venue for DT...
Love the Met. It's time to go back.
Barring I don't have a torn ACL, let's make it happen!
hey bart did you catch the deervana show at the met a while back? Pretty cool show they learned like 10 nirvana songs in one night and did an awesome job performing all of em. They actually just had 2 articles in rolling stones recently too.
No, but my friend saw it. Said it was insane.
If anyone is interested in going to the 10/13 show at the Met, tickets are only 15 bucks! |
I'll be at the show bart. pm me if your coming down. We can meet up at the show.
Will do, brother. Playing it by ear right now. Smashed my knee the other night and the doctor said it would take a month to heal. Tried fishing this weekend and was in a lot of pain. Hoping I can go though...
DT on Letterman last night...
The show was awesome!! They played letterman then came to pvd to perform for the night. They had the same outfits on!!
Yeah my bud said it was great, but nobody was really there. I was surprised to hear that. Covered Nirvana, Dylan, The Beatles...wish I could've made it. Almost positive I'm going to the Boston show in November...
Yeah man it was cool that they played the covers. Ill be there in boston. I'm all about supporting some good locals......
Deer Tick and The Felice Brothers Friday, Nov 18 6:00p at Royale, Boston, MA
should be a good one!!!! |
I had tickets for the show then had to sell them because I broke my foot playing basketball 2 days ago. Second injury in the last two months. Sucks. Should be a good time...
That sucks dude. Hopefully that will be the last 2 injuries you will have in the upcoming years.
