Berkley Nanofil Line (just sayin)
 

just read about it last weekend
and had to try it (of course)

and it lives up to the HYPE
as i got it in the mail today....
and spooled it up.

It easily casts 2 to 3 times farther
than using either mono or braid
That said... not sure about the color
which (for now) is white......

but: zero memory.... and i'll be able to reach
pods of schooling trout "while wading" when others can't.

What's the line Dia. ratio compared to mono and braid?

It did sort of feel like dental floss. I wonder how it will hold up in the salt.

Oh man, if they made it in 40# I could reach the fish that always seem to be breaking on the other side.:)

well, lawyer dude mentioned windtamer, so I tried it.

stuff is reallllly something, u can blast 50lb out there like it was 30 P.P.

not a wind-knot yet, great knot strength.

10 pound test = strength of twenty

ive been using the 12 lb test since june... its pissah

so is it more like mono or more like braid in terms of handling? how about abraison resistance?

More like braid. One thing.. You had better tie perfect knots because it's slippery!

Incredible line for fishing for albies and bones. Chucks a Point Jude Po-Jee an almost unbelievable distance.

As it relates to the surf, the only issue is the biggest they make is 12#.

i'd say closer to braid but still different

when casting even relatively light trout lures
"it seemed like" i missed seeing it hit the water
because it was still going out there
then it finally touches down later....

it's not the best around rocks unfortunately

yeah usin the double palomar knot .... the lack of memory
is what "i" find remarkable tho- even better than spider wire.

hmmm yeah sounds like a good trout fishing line

i question the visability of the color white however

time will tell...

I can always add a long leader of
line that is less visible and still take advantage of
the extra long casting ability
