fish near oil spill

Fished Sat and Sun nite very close to oil spill. (First spot of beach I could walk on). and caught fish 30" 27" and numerous schoolies. Plenty of bait fish also. Water seemed clean. Short term effects seem minimal. We will have to see what happens long term. All fish released. These were my first fish of the season. All in all a great weekend for Luther and myself. No one else out fishing. Question: I would like to keep a fish for dinner, but worried about the oil effect. Should I be? Wife said NOT to bring any home.

Wait to see what the officials say but I think your wife may be right for a little bit...

Grats on the fish and maybe some good news too...
