Now that fishing season is some what over. What to do? Maybe plan a fishing trip down south, start buying new gear for next spring.... ehhh frustrating

It's time to go "fishing" again. Fishing for precious tidbits of info from the sharpies on this site.

The question is: Whats the best lure???

Expand your horizons. Target some freshwater fish. Goto NY for steel, ice fish, broodstocks, pike. Lots of stuff to do and it'll make you a much better saltwater angler too.

Bass till Thanksgiving and Blackfish into Dec...

Jan-March are when it's 'over'

Smelt fishing up in Maine in January
Ice fishing for Bass, Pickerel, Trout, Pike, Perch and assorted other species in February
Trout Stocking in March
Carp Fishing in April....then repeat the cycle with the Stripers

Yup not over yet. Shooting out to block on monday if its smooth seas. Sun and monday are looking good.

Maintenance, strip the line off the reels, lube them put them away for the winter. In your spare time, make leaders and put them in packages for next season. Crimp some squid bars and daisey chains. Go through the tackle box and replace terminal gear your low on. Make sure that you have extra fuses for the boat. Check your battery strength, might be a good sale on batteries at the end of the year.

Make lures, I am buying this.

Does this mean no more beer forum? I kinda like drinking but wouldn't want my mentioning of it to knock someone off the wagon.

These days drinking heavily means V8 juice to get two servings of vegetables a day, pomagranate juice for anti-oxidants and Certo with grapejuice for arthritis relief!

Yup, Zs post is going to make me throw out 3 years of no drinking....if you see blue lights and me running down the street naked, fear not I'm just celebrating my 1000th post!!!! It's on now!
