MOVEMBER
 

So, it's November. And to the uninitiated, that means...

MOVEMBER.

So what is Movember? It's an online initiative to spearhead the awareness of cancers that affect men, specifically prostate. They've coupled with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG to promote this goal. Myself and a few co-workers decided to get in on this, and now I have a month of steadily looking more and more like a 70's porn star ahead of me- But it's for a good cause.

Movember United States - About Movember

Fishing is an activity that's primarily male (no offense to the fisherwomen out there!). At some point in our lives prostate cancer is going to affect one of us, or someone close to us. Growing a mustache in Movember is a way to remind everyone who sees you that regular checkups aren't an option, they're a necessity.

So (with the OK from the bossman) I'm asking for any donations to my cause. Any amount would be phenomenal- even $5 would be greatly appreciated. I'll post progress photos of my 'stache weekly, for the enjoyment of all!
