Patrick Witt, Yale Quarterback, Forgoes Rhodes Scholarship To Play Against Harvard (VIDEO)

Yale QB hangs in to be with teammates against Harvard... But to give up an opportunity at a Rhodes Scholarship? The Rhodes committee sucks for not making any accomodations for this kid. I admire his character, but at what cost? Rhodes scholars can pretty much write their own ticket, and write the checks for their lifetime.

A foolish, yet admirable decision.

Bro's before Ho's! Good choice. He is doing what makes him happy. Seems like a smart enough kid. I'm sure he will turn out ok. If not he can spend all of his free time chasing striped bass.

I agree. A Yale QB that qualifies for Rhodes Scholarship will do just fine....

Plus he can re-apply anytime before he turns 24..

If the characteristic of a Rhodes' Scholar is that they abandon their team for a shot for glory, I'd say he made the right choice!
That showed he has REAL character, and the Rhodes Scolarship committe should be following HIS lead!!!
