wetsuit question

I'm looking into getting a wetsuit for fishing in the surf during the winter. Just wondering if anyone has any advice/opinions for using a wetsuit for cold weather, & maybe what kind (mainly thickness) would be best. The coldest water temp I expect is about 50 degrees. Something to add is that I'm 5'10", & 140lbs, & 4% body fat, so I get cold rather quickly. From what I've seen most companies recommend a 5mm suit for that temp, but since I tend to chill quicker than others I thought a 7mm may be better for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

And something over it to break the wind.

7mil, with a detachable hood.

I did a full review on four suits I own and use, do a search and it will come up, I'd post the link what can't find it on my iPhone

Get a suit with taped and sealed seams.

And like someone else suggested use a windbreaker or dry top over it
