Any Auto Insurance Adjusters here?
Long story short my wife totaled her truck, I have an idea what the vehicle is worth and want to make sure I am getting what I deserve. The insurance company gave me an offer and we are not far apart, but I won't settle for the first offer unless I know it is right.

Never take a first offer from an insurance company.

Exactly, never do. He has already come up but not significantly. Basically looking for someone that does this for a living to give me a value to make sure my number is right or wrong, and where his number stands in the grand scheme of things.

couldn't you get the value of your truck from kelly blue book prior the accident, there usually pretty accurate,

Bill I think they use NADA.

They may use a different book as mentioned.
Keep in mind book value is a vehice that is ready to go, ready to sell. Meaning nothing wrong with it, good tires, clean, drivable. As you would expect to drive it away from a used car dealer if you yourself just bought it. The book value is the starting point and it goes down from there. Old damage, rust, exaust, tire wear etc.etc. etc..... |
PM me the vehicle info, year make model options miles, etc. I know a few appraisers who owe me favors. Ill get an accurate value for you.

Kelly blue book is always way high..We condition the car...Measure tires, the condition of the paint, the body, interior ect..Then send that info to a company who contacts area dealers to get a value in the area that reflects your area..A car in Mass has a different value than a car in another part of the country...As a general rule of thumb the NADA value at its highest, you can subtract $1000 off and get a fair auctual cash value for your vehicle...PM me if I can be of more help..
