And we are only 19 days till the first day of Winter.....Looks like it maybe a long one.

I realized I needed to leave the group when I was embarrassed and outraged by the actions of people in it.
I found it disgusting that a member in the group would make ridiculous comments and insults in my and others directions because of our military service. If that individual, or someone like that is allowed in the group , you will not see me in it. I am glad the group is gone and hope it never returns.

Gotta agree with ya jarhead. never yet seen a stone thrower jump out of a hercky bird.Still have a cousin that lives in a va home as 3 tours in Nam as a seal kinda put his mind in a bad place.Bout the only person he talks to now is me.Still tells me only foolsan idiots jump out of planes LOL. He's still not sure which one I am . thinks kinda both LOL

Greg you got some balls to step up and explain your "actions" most lurk behind the screen and wait for the dust to settle.

I have been biting my tongue up till now but keep seeing people post that they are leaving or won't be associated with the group and decided I have to speak up. I will refrain from getting into what went on between some of the members because I am on the outside and don't have all the facts, I will defend the trolls as a group when I feel WE are being attacked. I am not taking sides, I just want want to continue being a troll without shame or guilt of association.
I will stand down for now.

I am sorry my question wasn't more timely in that I missed what took place entirely and couldn't echo what everyone else feels here on this site about your service to all of us at the time those comments were actually made and not after the fact. I hope school is going well and you have a wonderful Christmas Greg.

I don't want to nor will I rehash this either. However, after receiving a few calls and messages from people that were not in the dt forum I would like to clarify a few things.

1) I was not the reason , nor even one of the main players in the ending of the group. I made one post saying that someone owed an apology. I have just been the only one to voice anything publicly.

2) The main reason I made that post earlier up was not to re live anything. The main reason was because in the fundraising I did earlier in the year I talked to alot of people in the fishing community. I learned the stories of many people who had lost family members during the vietnam or oif/oef wars, and had family members or themselves injured. The greatest problem for me was that I had suggested the dt group to many people along the way and the thought of these people reading those comments made me cringe.

I am also a fan of Greg :love: and I also want the Ditch Troll drama to end.

Stuff was said, people said things, stoopid stuff got said, she said he said, things got out of hand, the window to work things out expired, forum got closed.

Purge the forum and start it again fresh: maybe different, maybe same...some people do learn, others don't.:smash:

You ever hear the expression "you can't put toothpaste back in the tube"?

That forum was a problem from the start. Great intentions at the beginning, but unfortunately a couple people couldn't behave. And that's keeping in mind that the standards for good behavior around here are pretty low to start with.
