Oh dear!

Been looking for good breathable foul weather/fishing gear. Wish I'd not found these. I like Simms' stuff and these are gonna be hard to resist, but $899......ugh. Simms Fishing Products : : Pro Dry GORE-TEX Suit

PRBuzz 12-10-2011 04:06 PM

Musto, Gill, Henri Lloyd.
Cheaper and better quality.

It is available to Professional Guides and Anglers only according to link.
I am told Numby can pass for either.

Yep, I'm a pro at wasting money on fishing tackle and can easily guide anyone to financial ruin.

Pretty sure these are set for general release soon.
I'm also pretty sure the guides and professional anglers weren't paying $899 for them.
I've no complaints about Simms quality (even allowing for their failure of a surf top), however, I think they are a solid company.

I have been wearing these for 5 years and I swear by them. I will state that I do not have the matching jacket but these bibs have been great.

Yes. And I was a Grunden guy for 30 years. You don't sweat your a$$ off in Gore-Tex

I have also been wearing the Cabela's Guidewear insulated bibs and jacket for the past 3-4 years; they work great for fishing in the Spring and Fall, very comfortable for ice fishing in the winter, and I even put them on to walk the dog at night in the winter. The outside material is fairly resistant to fish blood.

Im going to go to the gore tex next year. My buddies swear by them. I like my white helly hanson bibs though. Nice and stylish. I go for the looks rather than functionality.

...and if you get the maroon and black pair you can't see the blood anyway.
