My wife likes hers

I love mine, on my second pair. I got the attack, which is good for people with fat heads. THey have a lifetime warranty but i never got a reply from multiple emails and phone calls. They are on closeout at sierra trading post and at campmor. BE careful you dont lose the arm guards or the nose pads, if they get loose, zap a gap, its great for all sorts of things.

I blew through three pairs and have gone back to the far superior Costas.

The Natives never lasted and their lifetime warranty at $35 each replacement / repair would have exceeded the original cost of purchase had I repaired my last set.

If anyone is interested - I may have some Dash XP lenses if anyone wants them. I was about to pitch them.

what do people use for prescription. Given my bifocal requirements I've just been doing Cocoon's for 5 years or so.

Several models of the Costas with the 580 lens are available in prescription. Though they are not cheap.

They are nice and light but only hold up for a year or 2 then the hinge areas are all loose. I haven't bought costas due to all the complaints online with their customer service. I heard costas bought native, not positive. Latest pair of mahi jims I like.

Just went through my second pair of Native Hardtops. Very lightweight and comfortable. I recommend getting the reflex lenses for on the water.

zimmy 12-19-2011 02:46 PM

I have used natives off and on for years. They are comfortable and you can get em cheap every once in awhile from sierra trading. I haven't taken the plunge on Costas since I break or lose them too regularly.

Costa's have survived my abuse for 4 yrs. Got 3 pair an love them

My Costas (the Tripletail) are my around town pair of glasses ... for fishing I use my Ocean Waves ... got them in prescription back in the early 1990s and still use them, although they are now out of style, but they work great so I don't care if they look like giant hub caps over my eyes ... they provide great sun protection and enable me to see great into the water (cut down the glare great) ... got them when I lived in Miami for fishing the flats ...

Was considering picking up a pair of Maui's if I could get the wrap arounds in prescriptions, but I was told they don't do that model in prescription at my local eye glass shop. And they were a bit pricey.

Wear Maui Jims...they will accept a perscription and send the lenses to you. Won't consider anything else now...they are clearer than my kid's Costas.

I just got my wife prescription Maui's, I got to use my flexcare account. I have Maui's and because I require no script I have to pay cash.
