It's worth a 100 mile ride if you have to.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to shop or buy all the food and sit down and eat it :hee:

WAY AWESOME GROCERY STORE. My all time new favorite. I'll be in there every week from now on.

Their prices are GREAT on many items we sampled, from cereal, to paper goods, meat, etc. Some prices seemed like they might have been slightly higher but for the most part the club packs they do are a way awesome deal. We got boneless chicken breasts for $1.99 a lb, 6-7 breast per package $10-12 a pack. That's two meals each pack for our family.

Their cheese dept is bigger than all of a Hannafords store.

$8.49 for lunch by the pound. Cost me $32 for me and the wife, I spent $165 on groceries and 3 hours of my life I'll never get back LOL

I told my wife that going in there was going to spoil her because now all other grocery store have crap compared to them.

Way cool concept of selling groceries. Place has 20'+ aisles and there was 5-7 rows of people streaming by in every direction at once.

Spence ol buddy I'm sure even you could find some new Goat Cheese, or fondadue, or something exotic to add to your cooking.

That place has anything you could imagine. It's fresh, frozen, cooked ready to eat.

Shoot the guy was slicing up a fresh 20lb striper while I was standing there. Said wild usa caught. Wonder where they get those in December....

They had a entire freezer case devoted to 25 lb boxes of Alaskan crab legs. One case alone worth $2k yikes!

I told my wife I bet they back a Brinks truck up to the back door of the place. There had to be 1000 people in there today. It was busy for sure but alot better laid out that your local store.

i thought the chinese dishes or plates /containers were kind of pricey
@ 8 sumthin per pound but the quality of many things is astounding

SPENCE ...they must sell between 200-500 different kinds of cheese
there's so much of it everywhere and it's like your in the land of cheese -LOL

they have deli upon deli .... so it's an EXPERIENCE like foreign almost

Scott next time ya go...head over to the bakery and buy a loaf
of their "baked on site" cheese bread... a slice of that with some
favorite cheese and a little sauce and it's better than PIZZA
especially hot out of the toaster oven

Raven it's like walking into Disney World's Small world exhibit in a grocery store :wave:

The bakery was like wow

The donuts looked sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. I never eat the stuff. I did however splurge on some chocolate chip walnut cookies.

Donuts.....wow french crullers drizzled with sugar that looked so light if would dance on your tongue.

Sticky buns....home made....cakes......PUMPKIN ROLLS MMMMMM they looked luscious. Breads.....oh man the breads were out of this world. Baguettes by the hundreds. Italian loafs.

Are they a public company?

Did I mention they had donuts?

Man I haven't had a donut in 10 years :hee:

TWENTY FOUR packs of name brand paper towels. Big huge things never seen anything like it. $17

They have a store brand of cereal. Really good healthy stuff mixed in with fruit loops/cheerios etc type of cereals that others like Hannafords/Market Basket clone. Good sized boxes $1.99 across the board. If the kids like the stuff I'd go back and buy more. I like the raisin bran with nuts and oats kind of cereal they have all that too in generic.

They even had Wegmans toenail clippers at the friggin checkout. LOL whatever

At least we now know what gets the bugger really excited. Toenail clippers and french crullers :hihi:

We all knew it wasn't plugs.

Wegmans is just about the only thing I miss about living in Rochester ny.

from route 9 and you'll see a bj's gas station with $3.11 per gallon

Just came back with my daughter ,
Nothing special that I could find, even my daughter in college said it cost more then Pice Chopper ? I joined up and saved 1.74 and spent 108.00 ???

i think food varies from one store to the next
whether it be price or quality from week to week

and you have to go with an open mind
and see what's what that particular day

like say your up for some sheetake mushrooms

you wanna find them in bulk for one, and then pick
only the LIGHT ones that don't have a heavy stem
Price chopper is good like that

but the difference between a price chopper in shrewsbury
and webster is amazing ...or shrewsbury and hudson

your looking for quality or for certain things you don't see else where like wegman's carries Buckwheat honey for example
very good flavor for green tea when a third cup of coffee would make ya feel like way too speedy....

I swung by this place last night on my way home (decent detour, but wanted to see it). Left $100 poorer. Really cool place. Great selection of everything, very impressed with the charcuterie. Duckling with swiss chard for dinner tonight.

Apparently there's a Burlington store scheduled to open next spring. Will be nice to have one close.
