Killing All The Stripers!
You guys have posted a link on your home page that is the web site for the California group called "The coalition for a Sustainable Delta"
This group is composed of water users that are in favor of the new regulations that Calif Dept of Fish and Game is implementing that is going to be the end of striped bass in our state. I'm sure this is a mistake? It's in the sponsored links box on the home page. strick |
That's Google's AdSense program. It randomly generates ads according to site content. This is a fishing website and "The coalition for a Sustainable Delta" does have fishing as part of its agenda.
I can remember a few years back there was an ad for the PETA splinter group Fishing Hurts. I believe JohnR has the ability to filter out ads that are not suitable here. |
Strick: those ads are based on YOUR web browsing activities, not everyone see the same ones.

Hopefully John has the filter "fine" tuned. Don't need the wife asking why the fishing site is advertising certain spring break videos... |

Or singles ads. My wife actually asked me about why i was looking at a site with singles ads. |

Hi Strick - JohnR here (same over at C.S.)
Yes - those ads are based on where you would have searched or by some entity trying to appeal to you. Nothing I would have put up. It is part of the google system... For S-B'ers interested in old SeaCrafts - Strick has built a couple AMAZING restores over the years - truly incredible jobs. |
OK thanks fellas I was thinking it was something about the Google adds. Thanks for the intro John....but you were into SeaCrafts long before I was. You actually helped me weed out a few before I bought my first.
Grew up fishing stripers out here in Calif and now that I have a little time to go fishing they are planning on eliminating them. A good fish out here is about 12-15 pounds. Rare to get one over 20# They are wanting to make the legal size 12 inches and the limit 10 with 20 in possession!. strick |
