Frances Fleet Squid?

Anyone ever go? Is it worthwhile? I need a load of Calamari for both eating and bait, cheaper to buy a frozen flat somewhere? Anyone else interested in going?

Mike-

There's squid at the Montauk docks. I'm sure there are some places much closer to home where you can hunt some squid.

WW- The Frances fleet is 15 minutes from my house, it'll take me an hour to get to Montauk :smash: I guess I should investigate some of the docks around the salt pond. Do the squid come into the pond, like they do the lake in Montauk?

There are plenty of squid at Padnarran harbor in Dartmouth. You have to go at nite with a light.

Plenty of squid in Newport.Goat Island causeway is a great place for squid but it usually gets invaded by Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia this time a year.
Seriously any place a lot light is shining into the water is good in the Newport area.Knowing dock and boat owners is a big help. You might give Fort Adams a try.
