bought one and have been playing /reading the unit info. 4 main screens w/ function for each screen.seam :smash:simple but so am i. who else has unit. or some pros/cons...bwt price sold me w/ rebate 379 total.:).hope it works out.......capt cupcake

I have a Elite 5 DSI. Its not bad but not as user friendly as A comparable Hummingbird I had before. Doesnt seem to target fish very well on the sonar screen.

Just because the unit is Elite, doesn't make the Captain :hee:

I dont have a Nav chip in mine but have had no problems with it knowing the area. Ive been from the mouth of th CT river to Block Island. It has most Reefs and channels in it already. I checked bouy cans with it against my radar and atleast in my river they are where it says they are.

How come I can never get my friggin fish arches to look anything near what they look like in the promo photos for the fishfinder...

Arches will show up more defined @ 50kw over 200
Use split screen and you will see...
