The fats in the fire now
So its game day with the prize a trip to the superbowl.
Here's the facts. ************************************************** **** This year Baltimore beat Cincinnati. they beat Pittsburg twice. They beat Houston twice. They beat San Francisco. These are all really good teams. For really good teams this year , the Pats beat...nobody. :( Huge advantage to Baltimore ************************************************** ****** Overall D...Baltimoe excellent. Pats...wellll..not so excellent Huge advantage Baltimore :( ************************************************** ***** Pats biggest strength is their passing game. Best in the league by far. Baltimore passing game , average Advantage...New England by a mile :) ************************************************** ***** Running Game...we have one but not great. Baltimore..great running game do to Rice. Clear advantage to Baltimore :( ************************************************** ***** Most important matchup....Pats biggest strength is their passing game. We have two great tight ends Gronk and Hernandez) , best receiver in the league (Welker) , surprise threat deep (Branch). How can a team stop all these receivers??? Answere....Baltimores biggest strength. Defense. Especially pass rush. If Brady doesn't have time to throw , a million receivers won't help and then we are sunk. Advantage...New England by a hair :) ************************************************** **** Game winning edge Tom Brady. If Brady has a great day like he did last week , we win and its no contest. To do this he needs protection but he as an individual must play a great game. The odds of a great game from Brady...very high. He seems to be in the groove and seems to want it bad. Advantage Pats :) ************************************************** **** So bottom line. All around Baltimore has a better team and has beaten all the really good teams they faced all season. We have no chance of winning unless Brady has a great day allowing our leagues best pass receivers to do their thing with him. Can he do it Yes :) ************************************************** ******************************* Pats 33-Ravens 24 Go Pats :patshelmet: |
Baltimore lost to Tennessee, Jacksonville, Seattle, and San Diego.....all bad teams....and all on the Road....Welcome to "The Razor" Gentlemen
2 of the 3 Pat's losses were to Play-off Teams |
Yes they lost to all the really bad teams and beat all the really good teams , including the best of teams like San Fran and Pittsburg.
So if we were a bad team we'd have a better chance against them than we do as a good team?? :) Yes our loses were to two playoff teams. But its still a fact that we lost to the only 2 real good teams we played. I still say its "gloom and doom" unless Brady lights up the place with brilliant play. Its our only hope. I think he can do it if we give him even average protection from the O line. The other thing Brady must do is see the blitz , audible for quick passes to the tight end and Welker. Whatever else you think as a knowledgeable football fan, you got to know this whole game pivots around Brady's performance today so take the time to say a "Hail Mary" for Tom. :) |
As long as Brady is solid and doesn't start throwing interceptions, I'd say the Pats D will be able to handle the Ravens offense. The Ravens are pretty one dimensional offensively, and I really dont see them scoring more than 20 points. Anyone notice that the pats are finally healthy (or close to it) on D? I think that bodes well for today's game. That being said, the Ravens defense, as good as it is, won't be able to stop the Pats offense, and certainly won't hold them to 20 points or under.
41-20 Pats |
Football is rigged. :P

The Ravens only played .500 ball on the Road this year....and they lost to bad teams in the process. They are playing at Gillette...against the best Offense in the AFC.
if they can keep Rice in check, and put the resposibility on Flacco to deliver the win....shouldn't be an issue. The Ravens D is good....but it is not dominating like it used to be...and its getting old. |
