Southlake/Westlake area, north of Dallas/Ft Worth. Home of Glenn Beck!

I plan on fishing like a madman May and June if possible. Lets get together then! I heard there is place shorefishermen go called "the canal"?

Actually MA to TX. RI is where I fish mostly.
I've lived in CT, MA, RI and CA. Driven across the US 4 times, coast to coast. Spent a lot of time in San Antonio for work.
A change will be good, time to explore new things. Beer, chili and barbeque are like state treasures there so I'll keep busy for awhile. So are brown recluse spiders, black widows, scorpions, water moccasins and copperheads.
The kids will get a pool out of the deal so they're psyched.
Thanks for the offer for help Bob, I appreciate it.
Not to be too corny but I have met so many good people from this website and made some good friends. I wont be disappearing. I will need to come up here for work from time to time - I will have to justify frequent trips in May and June. I'll be leaving my surf gear at a friends so I can fish when Im here.

The Dad Fisherman 01-25-2012 09:29 AM

If I were moving to Texas I would be all over this type of stuff. I love cooking outdoors and using castiron......Love it when they have the cook-offs on TV too....

Good for you, Jim! I've already got you penciled in for some fishing before you leave. And where I take you this time will be much better than where we've fished together in the past.

Keep me in mind before you start posting your good gear for sale. With me, at least you know it's going to a good home.:devil2:
