Home slicer something like this, any one have any comment on them wheres a good place to buy an a good price..

I had a decent quality one years ago. It was such a nuisance to clean it after each use that I think we threw it away. Unless you are going to be doing a lot of slicing, I'd just sharpen up the chef's knife.

i got one on sale on cabellas.com for $39 a few years back.

I use it probably 6 times a year to slice meats & cheese for nice salumi platter, sometimes tomatoes and onions if i am doing a large deli meat platter for make your own sandwiches at a party or something.. If I cook a nice rib roast I will break it out to slice up the cold leftover roast for roast beef sandwiches.
if you have a place to store it away, i think its a good thing to have.

we have an old one, Im with zacs, nothing is better than super thin slicing a roast beef right out of the oven
