New Reel & Rod Setup
 

Just put together my new Setup. Rod from CMS and Reel from Bob.. Thanks

Padawan - which rod did you get? What is the butt length (from endcap to reel seat??

Ill have to measure, but I specifically had this rod designed to a 2 piece rod that I was using.

That has to be the shortest butt length I have ever seen on a surf rod except a rod built expressly for an Alvey reel.

Maybe it's the angle but the butt looks short, only person I can see using that is part of the canal lollipop guild

I thought the same thing but I think it's the camera angle.

It isn't the camera angle; I'd be surprised if it measures over 14 inches from the stem of the reel . . .

Sorry I meant fishing primary from a boat. and its a 7ft

will be a scup slayer for sure! lol jk man its a nice reel for sure. Good luck with it, i am a little butt man myself but not that little i like my rods to have a little junk in the trunk.

LOL that is to funny, junk the trunk. If i lose a fish this year, I will blame the rod, and get a butt extension.

Oh, and thank god. I think most of us assumed it was a Surf Rod - I know I did. i was thinking of having an intervention on your behalf :rotf2: .
