new to this site
hey guys, found this site looking for new ideas for catching striper's this spring. I fish the Delaware river in nj during the spring spawn, They've taken our #1 bait away [herring] so I've got to try something else. It's c&r with circle hooks, thinking live and dead rigged eels, clams, chunked shad, bloodworms until the white perch show up & live perch. Hope to pick your brains. [ps life long celtic fan, but not real happy with them now.lol]

Watchman - welcome to S-B :btu:
All of that stuff will certainly work - what other local lave baits are there where you are on the river? As for live, eels may simply be the easiest. Don't discount the use of good artificials too.. P.S. - what do you do with watches - repair / service / build / accessories? I like watches :devil2: |
thanks. we have eels, catties & white perch mostly in the river. I fix watches. been doing it since 1969, 3rd gen. time to go down stairs and open up the shop. see ya

BTW - I fish a small local inlet to me up here with herring dumping out I still do well with olive artificials like Mambos and Yozuri Lives. It is actually easier in some ways as I don't need to do all the prep necessary for live herring.
So if I have an ETA automatic that needs a service - you're my guy :tooth: ? |
I'll give them a try thanks for the tip. Yeah I can fix them but thats heck of a ride.
