My version of the cuttyhunk popper
1 Attachment(s)
Obviously this is a through-wired version, not one using the original configuration of two swivels kept in place by two different pins. I have three others and I am going to turn two more. It weights as is 2 oz. Rear hook will be a siwash 5/0 with matching deer tail colors, which are drying on the wheel behind me.

Very nice work. I'm a big fan of modernized versions of the classics.

Frank that looks awesome...perch patterns are some of the sweetest/fishiest looking patterns.. |
Nice Cuttyhunk. I have made 100's of those and learned a 5/0 siwash is too small. A good fish bends the 5/0 and splits the small diameter rear of the plug. A tester in Maine caught a nice 30+ pounder and came in with just the wire and the fish. Everything I have made in the past couple years has 6/0 hooks.
just sayin. Good luck with it. When tail weighted they cast like missles. |
Wow, looks great Frank!
