striperman36 03-08-2012 10:29 PM

The Dad Fisherman 03-08-2012 10:44 PM

Uhh, yeah, I'd be down.

MakoMike 03-09-2012 11:37 AM

We did one from another site last year. Got three boats together (mine and two others) and fished locally out of Pt. Jude. Everyone had good time, both fishing and the after fishing get together. I'd be up for doing that.

JackK 03-09-2012 11:48 AM

I'm with MM... I'd like to do a trip, but it would be more fun (IMO) to get a bunch of boats together, much like togfest (which I'm hoping to not miss this year)

I got a fluke boat!

(This boat Capt. says no out of season or undersized fish stay in the boat!)

niko 03-09-2012 01:05 PM

The only drawback to the togfest way is you end up with half as many boats actually showing up and a bunch of guys are not able to get a spot on a boat. The other good thing about a bigger boat is even if it ends up being a little snotty we can still go plus everyone can bs and hang out. tho original idea for togfest was to raft up a few boats but it's just been to lumpy both years to pull off.

I'd like to go possibly, might have two buddies that would be interested as well.

Mr. Sandman 03-09-2012 07:17 PM

I would be up for it but would to prefer to fish in my own boat. I would meet you anyplace, even Nantucket. I actually enjoy fluke fishing, I can do it all day. Nothing like feeling a doormat in 100' of water.

I'm slipping in Pt Jud this year, my boat's in for a fluke feast if it's out of there.

5/0 03-10-2012 08:14 AM

Paul that sounds like a good time, what time frame are you looking at and is there any room left?

ThrowingTimber 03-10-2012 01:16 PM

I'd up for it either way cattle boat or if we go the private boat route. Have not been out by Nantucket or nomans for fluke so I'd be interested in checking it out :uhuh:

Mako Mike that was such a fun time last year :uhuh:

fid 03-10-2012 03:00 PM

I'm game for this. It was fun last year, altho I wasn't on MakoMike's boat. :)

MakoMike 03-10-2012 08:00 PM

Mayb e we should do two. One for the guys who want to go on the Helen H. with Joe, and another on private boats out of Galilee (or thereabouts)

macojoe 03-10-2012 08:06 PM

My boat isn't close to being ready yet, but I might be able to have it ready?? What time frame we looking at?
They don't even have a season posted yet (TBD)

zacs 03-11-2012 08:11 AM

i'm in either way if the day works. Summer weekends are tough, lets get a date soon so we can all block it off before schedules get filled up.

If we do private boats I'm in with my boat.

niko 03-12-2012 10:59 AM

ok - lets put a private boat trip together out of pt jude area. what are the regs for fluke in rhoddy? what is primetime for fluke down there? also i've got a couple of buddies that want to do the HH trip to nomans/nantucket so i'll put up a date for that too when we pick it.

macojoe 03-12-2012 01:41 PM

I am in for Normans or Nantucket, out for RI. HH or my boat fine

I'd definitely like to be in for this....depends on date is all

JackK 03-12-2012 02:27 PM

I didn't realize it was just $85 for a Nantucket trip. I thought it was much pricier. Prefer not to spend more than $100 on a boat trip unless its thunnage. I could do either private or HH (or both).

For numbers (off Newport), late May - first half of June. For size, but more scattered fish in deeper water, July.
