2012 Striper Cup
 

OK, I have an announcement which probably won't be a surprise to some but Striped-Bass.com will be joining forces with Team Big Ditch Crew, who came in just in front or just behind us last year (I think they were in front by a point).

This will allow us to keep it going for the 95%of us shore guys and we know & fish with most of them and they us anyways. Based on OTW's light rule changes with a slightly more conservation bent, merging the two teams actually mean both teams will weigh in less fish so we will be even more conservative.

The new team is: TEAM BIG STRIPED-BASS.com DITCH CREW (Fatcow - is that right? :rotf2: ) or if someone has a better wording in the next day or two

Question for you....

Do you think you want to have this a shore only team? Just asking. I am seriously considering not entering again, but am just throwing this out there.

Nope - I like our boat guys, and while I would like to say Shore guys, and 95% of us are, it is our teams made up of our guys from both shore and boat so it is open to all our guys

That's fine with me. Let's do what we love to do fish and fish some more. If you don't want to be part of it that's on you. I'm ready to bring the cup home. Let's do it.

Is that the official team name ? Also any changes to internal team rules to go by this year? Minimum fish weight?

We'll hammer that out I'm sure but doesn't make sense to worry about anything small.

OK, I'm in again this year.

Team Striped-Bass.com Big Ditch Crew makes more sense IMO. That way both teams full names are kept together rather than split up.

striper cup and conservation in the same sentence.....does'nt add up for me.

I signed up for both divisions at the ri show. I put striped-bass.com in for the team on the sign up sheet before this was announced. I should be ok I'm assuming????

SB.com Big Ditch Crew. I think everyone so far has put something slightly different but as long as you include those key words I think they'll figure it out :rotf2: I got a magic swimmah out of the deal for signing up at MSBA with tony wooooo

The gibbs club calls thier team the "the big ditch crew" or something very similar.

O.K. Andy I reread JR's post and it sunk in. I am a member thier as well. I think it is a good move. Is FATCOW team manager. I think Jimmy would be better, just kidding.
